War Eagle!!!

I am going to the Auburn game in about 12 hours and I am sooooo pumped! I love college football...especially Auburn football. I also get to see Jason, which I haven't seen since Monday and I miss him like crazy. I really hope and pray that someone buys our house soon (Yes, I do know that it has only been on the market for like 4 days). I am ready to live under the same roof with my husband!

I finally have some great news to post on my blog...Jason got a job!!!! After almost 5 LONG months, the anxiety and stress of not having a job has finally ended. The job is in Birmingham and Jason starts the Tuesday after Labor Day. I'm not planning on moving anytime soon, unless we sell our house very quickly. Jason is spending this week doing things around the house so it will be ready to put on the market. I really do hope it sells quickly! I really don't want to be away from Jason to long. I will be sad to leave Chattanooga because I will miss my job and friends and family here, but I think it will be a nice change and a new start for us. Jason is so excited! Thank you so much to everyone who prayed for us during this tough time. Although that aspect of our life is finally turning around, my grandpa Schilling is not doing so well. He had a massive stroke about a week ago and is now is Hospice. He is a really tough old man, but I feel like he has had a good life and I don't want him to suffer anymore. Just keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.

Sad News

I found out about an hour ago that a teacher and friend from Smith has passed away. His name is Sean Hogan and he was only 32. I don't know any of the details right now...all I know is he was at work on Friday and gone today. I can't even believe it right now as I type. Please pray for his family and friends (especially the staff at Smith).

Today is my last official day of summer! I am sad to see it come to an end, but I am also excited about starting the new school year. I'm a little nervous because I am at a new school and I really loved the school I was at last year. I put in for a transfer because I was spending way too much of our money on gas every week! I know Big Ridge is a great school, but I really loved the people at Smith. I will especially miss my buddy Robyn. We worked right next door to each other and had a blast! I went up to Smith today because I still had my room key. I was a little sad that I would not be returning, but I am excited about my new school too. Change is good! Everyone that I have met at Big Ridge seems really nice. I hope everything goes well tomorrow!

Just a side not to Meghan...Jason and I rented Vantage Point and loved it! Thanks for the recommendation!
So a year ago today I was at Memorial Hospital recovering from a thyroidectomy. It is crazy what can happen in a year! I am truly grateful for being cancer free and living a healthy life. In celebration of my anniversary my family and I went rafting on the Hiwassee river. I thought the trip was going to be a complete disaster because as soon as we got in the raft, it began to POOR DOWN RAIN!!! It rained heavily for about 20 minutes so needless to say, we were soaked and had not even touched the 55 degree water. All we could do was laugh! Sorry there are no pictures to post...it is kind of hard to use a camera during a torrential down pour. I loved every minute of it...though at one point I thought a hospital bed would be warmer than the rain. All in all, it was a good day. I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful family to support me in all that I do. Life is pretty good (besides Jason STILL being unemployed)! Hopefully, that will change soon!

We have been back from the beach for almost 2 weeks now, but I'm so ready to go back. No more vacations until fall break! How depressing? Jason is still on the job hunt. Hopefully something will work out soon. The not knowing and total lack of control of the situation is killing me. I'm going to start working on my classroom tomorrow. I am so excited about teaching first grade! It will be a nice change from fourth. Anyway...we went to St. George Island, FL as usual. I've been going there since I was 6 and it never really changes. It consist mostly of houses or inns. There are no high rises. It is a very relaxing beach to go to if you don't want to be around alot of people. My family and I always have a great time!
